Last Sunday we celebrated the Feast of the Ascension - Jesus was taken up into heaven where he took his place “at the right hand of the God”. The time had come for Jesus to say goodbye to his friends and return to his father. We received the Holy Spirit in baptism, and so the power we need to be strong Christians is ours. We were not abandoned when Jesus ascended into heaven - instead we were empowered to proclaim the Good News to all. Speak with your children about how the Holy Spirit shines in their life. In what way can they be faithful followers of Jesus?
