Can you believe that we are in Week 5 of Term 3? Term 4 will be here in the blink of an eye. People often think that Term 3, is the quiet term, the one where schools can catch up and take a breath; but we all know that’s not true. Term 3 is just as busy as the rest - St Michael’s has plenty on the go, this week our 5/6s will have an Immigration Incursion visiting, our Grade 1/2s have Mass on Friday, plus we continue to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation for many of our students. 

Next week, the staff will be participating in a Religious Education professional development day. On Thursday 22nd August there will be a school closure day with all staff taking some time to further develop their knowledge about Pope Francis and how his workings are shaping the Catholic faith. Thank you to Sue Rickwood, our wonderful Religious Education Leader, for leading us through this day. 

Also, next week we have our Relax and Read Pyjama Day. On Friday 23rd August, all students and staff are welcome to dress in pyjamas to celebrate book week. From 3pm onwards, parents are welcomed into classrooms for a short activity. 

Finally, we’d like to recognise the amazing work of the St Michael’s staff. From the teachers in the classrooms, specialist teachers, education support staff and our admin team, we are grateful for the passion and dedication they show towards our students. We are truly lucky to have staff who always want what is best for your child and go above and beyond to achieve this. Jodie and I are grateful to be supported by such amazing staff.
